KL Rahul is the captain of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) cricket team. In a match against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) on May 8, KL Rahul hit a beautiful six off the ball bowled by SRH captain Pat Cummins. It was the first time Rahul scored a boundary in that match. The match was played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. It happened in the second over of LSG’s innings.
Pat Cummins started bowling with the new ball. After Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled the first over, Cummins bowled the second over. His first two balls were dot balls. On the third ball, the Karnataka player stepped forward a little bit. He then hit the ball over the mid-off area with a lofted inside-out shot.
Two teams lost their most recent matches. The SunRisers Hyderabad were beaten by Mumbai Indians, scoring fewer runs. Lucknow Super Giants faced a heavy defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders, losing by a big margin.
For the current game, SunRisers made one change by including Vijayakanth Viyaskanth. Lucknow Super Giants made two changes. They brought in Krishnappa Gowtham and Quinton de Kock. Mohsin Khan and Ashton Turner were not picked this time.
“We have not nailed it in the last couple of games” – Pat Cummins
Cummins, who turned 31 on Wednesday, replied to LSG’s choice to bat first by saying he would have done the same. The right-arm speedster also emphasized the need of continuing to win, despite the competition’s unpredictable nature. He stated during the toss:
With their postseason hopes dangling by a thread, both clubs will engage in a battle.
