“We fell short in terms of assessing the wicket” – KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer
Kolkata Knight Riders’ captain Shreyas Iyer accepted responsibility for misjudging the pitch conditions after their seven-wicket defeat against Chennai Super Kings. He provided insights on the loss, stating:
Just 34 runs came from the bat of Kolkata’s leader in 32 deliveries against Chennai. Three boundaries characterized his knock. Sunil Narine scored a steady 27 off 20 balls. Young Angkrish Raghuvanshi made a valuable 24 in 18 balls. However, the remaining batters underwhelmed.
