The Kolkata Knight Riders team felt let down when their player Rinku Singh got out in a tough way. Piyush Chawla bowled the ball and Rinku Singh hit it right back to him. Chawla caught the ball, so Rinku Singh was out. This happened during an Indian Premier League cricket match between Kolkata and Mumbai on May 3rd. The match was played at the big Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Gautam Gambhir expressed disappointment when the Knight Riders lost their fifth wicket in the seventh over. Chawla produced a tossed-up delivery on off and middle, and Rinku Singh attempted to push it down to midwicket. The left-hander took an early shot and ended up striking the ball back to the bowler.
Rinku departed for nine runs off eight balls, leaving the visitors on 57/5 after 6.1 overs.

Rinku Singh has not been able to score many runs this season. The 26-year-old player has scored only 132 runs in 10 matches at a strike rate of 146.66. Even though Rinku was born in Uttar Pradesh, he was still added to the reserve list for the 2024 T20 World Cup in the US and the West Indies in June.
Sunil Gavaskar, who used to be the captain of the Indian cricket team, recently said that one of the reasons why Rinku was not picked for the main team for the ICC event might be because he has not been scoring well. He told Sports Today:
MI dominate KKR in IPL 2024 match
The Mumbai Indians bowlers were excellent. This helped them beat the Kolkata Knight Riders team. Mumbai captain Hardik Pandya won the toss. He chose to bowl first in the IPL match on Friday.
Nuwan Thusara caused the greatest damage, removing Philip Salt, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, and skipper Shreyas Iyer early. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya claimed the coveted wicket of in-form Sunil Narine.
At the time of writing, KKR were 96/5 after 11.2 overs, with Venkatesh Iyer and Manish Pandey at the wicket.
The second-placed Knight Riders have six victories in nine IPL 2024 games so far. They are coming off a seven-wicket win over Delhi Capitals.
Mumbai are at ninth place. They won three out of ten matches. They lost three matches in a row. These losses were to Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants. The team did not do well.
