The Kolkata Knight Riders team felt let down when their player Rinku Singh got out in a tough way. Piyush Chawla bowled the ball and Rinku Singh hit it right back to him. Chawla caught the ball, so Rinku Singh was out. This happened during an Indian Premier League cricket match between Kolkata and Mumbai on May 3rd. The match was played at the big Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Gautam Gambhir expressed disappointment when the Knight Riders lost their fifth wicket in the seventh over. Chawla produced a tossed-up delivery on off and middle, and Rinku Singh attempted to push it down to midwicket. The left-hander took an early shot and ended up striking the ball back to the bowler.

Sunil Gavaskar, who used to be the captain of the Indian cricket team, recently said that one of the reasons why Rinku was not picked for the main team for the ICC event might be because he has not been scoring well. He told Sports Today:

“Maybe his form in this particular edition of the IPL hasn’t been great. He hasn’t had that many opportunities (with KKR), maybe that’s the reason why they’ve (selectors) not picked him.”

At the time of writing, KKR were 96/5 after 11.2 overs, with Venkatesh Iyer and Manish Pandey at the wicket.
