Virat Kohli of Team India was recently photographed in Barbados posing with two children wearing Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) shirts. The Indian Premier League (IPL) is perhaps the world’s largest franchise tournament. As a result, it draws followers from all over the world, who frequently approach Indian celebrities dressed in IPL shirts.
Virat Kohli recently met two such fans in Barbados, who were wearing RCB and CSK shirts. He posed with them for a photo at the team hotel.
It is worth noting that Virat Kohli represents the Royal Challengers in the Indian Premier League. RCB and CSK are among the most well-known clubs in the cash-rich division, with large fan bases.
The two teams also have a heated rivalry, known as El Classico. CSK has won 21 of the 33 meetings between the two teams in the tournament’s history. Bengaluru has 11 wins, with one match going unfinished.
Furthermore, the Super Kings have five titles to their record, whilst the Royal Challengers have yet to win a trophy despite reaching the finals many times.
How has Virat Kohli fared in the T20 World Cup 2024?
The former Indian captain arrived in the United States following a successful IPL 2024 campaign with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He ended as the leading scorer with 741 runs in 15 games, an average of 61.75 and a strike rate of over 155.
However, Virat Kohli lost touch upon arrival in the United States. He has only scored five runs in three games so far. The right-handed hitter scored a golden duck against co-hosts the United States.
