On day 2 (December 27) of the Boxing Day Test, India’s stalwart Virat Kohli engaged with a young cricket fan. The match took place against South Africa at SuperSport Park in Centurion.
Yesterday, Virat Kohli began the game in a promising manner, despite India’s early struggle at 24/3 in less than 10 overs. He teamed up with Shreyas Iyer for a 68-run stand. Such determination countered the South African bowlers, highlighting his measured aggression.
He struck a fluent 38 (64) before his stay at the crease was cut short by a superb delivery from Kagiso Rabada. The innings was then shepherded by KL Rahul (101) and lower-order batsmen to enable India post a solid total of 245.
Off the field, Kohli met a small South African boy and signed a Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) shirt for him this afternoon. Star Sports teased it by posting a video on X.
