Virat Kohli had a friendly talk with Shubman Gill during practice. A video of this chat spread quickly online on Friday. Kohli plays for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Gill plays for Gujarat Titans (GT). RCB and GT will play a match on Saturday (May 4) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
GT’s X social media account shared a video of two good friends laughing together in the changing room. Here’s what Kohli told Gill during an interaction:
“Badi jaldi aaya practice karne [You came early to practice today].”
Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill have played very well in IPL 2024. Kohli has scored 500 runs in 10 innings. His average is high at 71.43. Gill has scored 320 runs in 10 matches. His average is 35.56. Both players have done great with the bat.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore team is having a tough season. They are at the bottom of the points table with only three wins out of ten games. To keep their playoff hopes alive, RCB must win every single one of their remaining matches.
Meanwhile, GT ranks ninth with four victories in ten games. The Titans must also win their last four games to secure a postseason place.

It was a big game when the two teams met last Sunday. The Gujarat Titans batted first. They lost two early wickets. Opener Wriddhiman Saha scored just 5 runs. Captain Shubman Gill made 16 runs.
But Sai Sudharsan kept scoring well. He made 84 runs. Shahrukh Khan also batted nicely and scored 58 runs. Together, they helped Gujarat Titans score a high total of 200 runs.
Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis had a great start. They scored 40 runs for the first wicket in less than four overs. Then, Will Jacks from England played an amazing innings. He scored 100 not out off 41 balls. His innings had five fours and ten sixes.
Kohli stayed undefeated on 70 off 44 balls as RCB completed the chase in just 16 overs for their third IPL triumph of 2024.
