On Sunday, April 30, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli posted a candid photo of himself with his opening partner, Faf du Plessis.
Due to a rib injury sustained while playing against CSK on April 17, Faf du Plessis has only appeared as an impact replacement in the past three matches. In his absence, Virat has been captaining the team. He guided the team superbly as they won two of the three games, but they fell to KKR last Wednesday.
Kohli shared an intriguing snapshot of himself and Du Plessis on his official Instagram account yesterday. He captioned it as follows:
The backbone of the RCB batting lineup- Virat Kohli, Faf and Maxwell
This season, RCB’s top order has been led by Virat and Du Plessis They, along with Glenn Maxwell, have been doing the majority of the work in the batting department as the middle-order players have failed to show up.

Glenn Maxwell has been the line-up’s enforcer, scoring 258 runs at a strike rate of 186.96 while batting in the middle order.
