On Sunday, November 5, Virat Kohli, the star batsman for Team India, will celebrate turning 35. On his particular day, the Men in Blue take on South Africa in a 2023 World Cup match at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens. Fans may see him in action.
The former captain of India has been wished in advance by Mohammad Rizwan, the wicketkeeper-batter of Pakistan. In an interview with India Today’s Aaj Tak during a practice session at Eden Gardens, Rizwan stated that he would want to see Kohli reach his 35th birthday and record his 49th ODI century.
“It’s great to learn that his birthday falls on November 5th,” Rizwan said. “I wish him the best and a happy birthday, even though I don’t celebrate mine and don’t believe in it. Sending good wishes to Virat. I hope he achieves his 49th ODI hundred on his birthday. I also hope he reaches his 50th ODI century in this World Cup.”

So far in the current 2023 World Cup, Virat Kohli has displayed excellent form. He is the second-highest run scorer for Team India in the competition after Rohit Sharma, having amassed 354 runs in six games.
Notably, he is only one century short of matching Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49 ODI hundreds.
Virat Kohli’s Birthday: CAB’s Special Surprise at Eden Gardens
The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) is going above and beyond to ensure that Virat Kohli’s birthday party at Eden Gardens is a memorable one.
The CAB has organized a special cake-cutting and award ceremony for the top batter. They also want to give out 70,000 Virat Kohli masks to fans.
During a media encounter, CAB president Snehasish Ganguly share some insight on such plans:
“We hope to get an approval from the ICC on this. We want to make the day special for Virat. We want every fan in the stadium wearing Kohli masks when he walks in. We plan to distribute about 70,000 masks that day.”
