Star Indian batter Virat Kohli met with West Indian icon Wesley Hall ahead of his Men in Blues’ Super Eight matchup with Afghanistan in the 2024 T20 World Cup on Thursday, June 20. Before posing for the cameras, the two exchanged pleasantries, with Hall gifting Kohli with his book ‘Answering the Call’.
Hall embarked on a stellar journey with the West Indies from 1958 to 1969 gracing 48 Tests with his extraordinary talent. The venerable 86yearold maestro clinched 192 wickets showcasing brilliance with an average of 26.38 accompanied by an impressive nine instances of claiming fivewicket hauls.
The saga of the exceptional rightarm speedster unfolds as he ascends to legendary status securing an astounding 546 wickets across 170 remarkable outings.

Answering the Call focuses on Hall’s cricketing journey and career, as well as how he became one of history’s greatest pacers. It was published in November 2022, with a second part issued earlier this year.
