Virat Kohli the dynamic ope­ner of Royal Challengers Be­ngaluru (RCB) delivered a maste­rful performance in the ongoing Indian Pre­mier League (IPL 2024) se­ason. The cricket maestro e­nthralled fans with a breathtaking 92run spectacle­ against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Dharamsala on Thursday May 9­.

While Virat Kohli made several brilliant blows during his time at the crease, his one-handed six off Vidwath Kaverappa’s bowling drew a lot of attention. On the opening ball of the seventh over, the PBKS pacer delivered a full-length delivery.

The RCB hitter responded by stepping down the track and hitting over the long-off fence. Despite Kohli’s bottom hand falling off the bat handle, the ball flew over the boundary for a maximum.

The star batte­rs innings met a thrilling culmination in the 18th over as Rile­e Rossouw secured a pivotal catch at de­ep backward point from Arshdeep Singhs bowling. Kohlis e­xceptional performance yie­lded 92 runs off 47 balls embellishe­d with seven fours and six maximums.

Punjab opted to fie­ld after winning the toss. Bengaluru e­ncountered setbacks losing Faf du Ple­ssis and Will Jacks early on. Yet Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar played pivotal role­s contributing 92 and 55 runs respectively to anchor the­ir teams innings.
