Cricket aces Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar, from India, are on the guest list of 8,000 bigwigs! They’ll attend a special event at the Ram Temple located in Ayodhya.
The sacred ceremony, “Pran Pratisththa,” for Ram Lalla is slated for January 22, 2024. Invited guests aren’t limited to just cricket greats but extend to celebrities. These include esteemed actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar. High-profile business tycoons Ratan Tata, Gautam Adani, and Mukesh Ambani will also be there.
The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra has also invited 6,000 religious leaders to the function, according to The Print. The remaining 2000 invitees are VVIPS from other nations, including retired army officers, former government servants, poets, attorneys, and winners of the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan.
In August 2020, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked the start of building the Ram Temple. He used a silver brick for this ceremony. He’ll also be at the temple’s dedication event. Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister, known as Yogi Adityanath, and Mohan Bhagwat, leader of the RSS group, will join him.
Virat Kohli rested for ODIs and T20Is in South Africa
Virat Kohli was spotted last playing in the 2023 World Cup. This experienced player had an impressive streak at this exceptional event, ending up as the top scorer with 765 runs in 11 games.
India lost the final in Ahmedabad to Australia by a devastating six wickets, and they ended up in second place. Kohli’s outstanding batting performances earned him the title of Player of the Tournament.
India’s cricket team will travel to South Africa soon for various types of matches. Though Kohli is on the team for the two test matches, he won’t join the other games using a white ball.
Just after they shared news about the team lineup, the Indian Cricket Administration Board (BCCI) verified that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma both asked for time off during the white-ball part of the journey.
The T20 matches are what start off the trip, with the first game set to take place on December 10 in Durban.
