With the century, the 34-year-old tied Chris Gayle’s IPL record for most hundreds. Chasing 187 against SRH, RCB cruised to victory in 19.2 overs, with eight wickets in hand. Thanks to Kohli’s 100 off 63 balls, a magnificent innings that included 12 fours and four sixes.
Faf du Plessis (71 off 47) and Virat Kohli added 172 for the first wicket in 17.5 overs.
Now, Kohli’s knock on Thursday was the second time he had a three-figure score on the 18th date in the IPL. Exactly on May 18, 2016, the right-handed batsman scored a century for RCB against Punjab Kings (now Kings XI Punjab).
