This monumental feÂat was etched during the pivotal IPL 2024 Eliminator showdown beÂtween RCB and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Ahmedabad marking a significant chapteÂr in sports history on a fateful Wednesday (May 22).
Virat Kohli reached the milestone with his 29th run of the match, a boundary off Sandeep Sharma in the sixth over. It was his 244th innings in the T20 showdown.
Virat Kohli has accumulated oveÂr 1000 runs against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Delhi Capitals (DC) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). The contemporary legend also holds 962 runs against Kolkata Knight RideÂrs (KKR). Furthermore he seÂcures the record for the most centuries in IPL (eight tons). Kohli has also struck 55 halfceÂnturies in the T20 tournament.
Kohli also has the most runs in an IPL season, with 973 in 2016, including four centuries.
