Suryakumar Yadav, who has been used as a drift player, has only his fitness and talents to thank him, as he is still recovering from an injury which he acquired during the year. He was crocked in Cape Town with a strained ankle, but subsequently took medical leave during the same tour as well to have a Hernia operation.
He was denied a fitness clearance by the National Cricket Academy (NCA) at the start of the season, forcing him to miss the first three MI games.
MI will play the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their third consecutive home encounter on Sunday, April 14.
