Tristan Stubbs, Delhi Capitals batsman, performed a remarkable save during the IPL 2024 match between Delhi and Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The South African youngster showcased exceptional athleticism. He prevented a certain six at the long-on region, denying Gujarat’s Rashid Khan a maximum.
The event happened in the 19th over of the innings, when Rashid Khan tonked one to long-on off Rasikh Salam’s bowling. Tristan Stubbs, stationed at that boundary, jumped to save the ball from reaching six, saving five runs for the home team.
The Titans chased a gigantic total of 225 runs, but their start wasn’t ideal. In the second over itself, Anrich Nortje got rid of their skipper, Shubman Gill, at a very low score.
