India’s star cricketer, Suryakumar Yadav, is now benched due to an ankle ailment. This happened while he was on the field during their third T20I match against South Africa, rounding off their triple-header series.
On Saturday, December 23, Suryakumar posted a video on his Instagram. In it, he uses crutches to walk. Making light of his situation, a Bollywood dialogue overlays the video. It’s ‘Meri ek taang nakli hai’ from the film ‘Welcome’.
In the post’s caption, he wrote:

Suryakumar Yadav Unlikely to Play Afghanistan T20Is Because of Ankle Injury
Claims say Suryakumar Yadav will notably pause his actions until February 2024 due to a significant Grade-II tear. The Indian Express unveiled this, noting the player will require a substantial healing time.
There’s a chance Suryakumar won’t make India’s three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. But he could make a comeback at the 2024 T20 World Cup.
He’s a right-handed hitter, and he should be ready for the 2024 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). His last season was impressive with the Mumbai Indians (MI). He scored more runs than anyone else – 605 runs from 16 games averaging 43.21.
