Shubman Gill, a Team India batsman, was recently observed playing cricket alongside famed English artist Ed Sheeran in Mumbai. Gill was last seen on the field in the fifth Test against England in Dharamshala last Saturday, when India defeated the visitors by an innings and 64 runs.
Shubman Gill is now enjoying a little vacation after the grueling five-match Test series before joining the Gujarat Titans (GT) training for the 2024 IPL season.
Zoom TV posted to Instagram on Wednesday, March 13, to publish a current photo of Gill off the field. Interestingly, the actor was spotted playing cricket alongside renowned artist Ed Sheeran, who is now in Mumbai for a show.
Shubman Gill was a standout batsman in the Test series against England. In five games, he scored 452 runs at an average of 56.50, including two century and two half-centuries. Gill was the series’ second best scoring, trailing only Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Aakash Chopra, a former Indian batter, has uploaded a video on his YouTube channel previewing the Gujarat Titans (GT) team for the IPL 2024. Chopra believes Gill will have new hurdles this season because it is his first season as captain. The cricketer-turned-commentator explained:
“Opportunity – Shubman Gill, my rockstar player, DNA of greatness. But this is going to be a new challenge as you will be playing as a captain now. All of us have seen that he bats well. You are making him the captain now because he is your most important player in that side, but can he captain that well?”

“I feel the Gujarat Titans’ captaincy strings are tied to Ashish Nehra. If that tuning is fine, which I feel will be the case, they will take the team forward. So Shubman Gill will have a huge opportunity as a captain. Mohit Sharma will take care of the death overs and Umesh Yadav will be handed the new ball. Who will bowl along with him, whether it will be Darshan Nalkande or Kartik Tyagi.”
