Shubman Gill, captain of the Gujarat Titans (GT), arrived in Ahmedabad on Monday, March 18, in preparation for the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL). The incumbent Orange Cap holder was named the franchise’s captain when Hardik Pandya left for the Mumbai Indians (MI) during the off-season.
Shubman Gill joined India’s TeÂst team against England. At first, he had trouble batting third. But he scored 452 runs in nine innings. That was second-beÂst after Jaiswal. India won the home seÂries 4-1. Gill had a big impact despite eÂarly struggles. Though he didn’t top the run-scoring charts, Gill proveÂd his worth.
He has scored substantially after joining the Gujarat Titans from the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) before of the 2022 IPL season. Gill scored 890 runs in 17 innings in the 2023 season, including three hundreds, as GT finished second.
The GT coaching staff and players will anxiously await feedback from their new captain once he has joined the setup.
