During his holiday in London, Team India opener Shubman Gill posed for a photo with his buddies. He was last seen on the field following India’s heartbreaking loss to Australia in the 2023 World Cup final.
Everyone held hopes for Gill in the tournament. But, he missed two early games because of dengue. Still, he participated in nine games afterward. He managed 354 runs! Average? 44.50. And he hit four half-centuries!
Gill provided solid assistance to Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the top order, but he was unable to deliver match-winning performances.
Shubman Gill, like a number of other players, was rested for the just finished five-match Twenty20 International series against Australia. Next week, he will play again when India goes on an all-format tour of South Africa.

Shubman Gill poses a tough challenge for Ruturaj as opener for 2024 T20 World Cup – Aakash Chopra
Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra recently remarked that Ruturaj Gaikwad has put himself in contention for a position in the 2024 T20 World Cup team.
Ruturaj made the most of his opportunities in the just finished series against Australia, finishing as the series’ highest run-scorer. He scored 223 runs in five games at a 55.75 average, including a century and a fifty.
Aakash Chopra examined Ruturaj Gaikwad’s performances in a video posted on his YouTube channel and claimed that he may be fighting with Shubman Gill for one of the opening places in a full-strength Indian T20 team. Chopra stated:
