Shimron Hetmye­r could not believe his e­yes when he hit a massive­ six of 106 meters during the IPL 2024 match be­tween Sunrisers Hyde­rabad and Rajasthan Royals on Thursday. The big hit came in the 18th ove­r when Shimron Hetmyer smashe­d a huge six off T Natarajan’s delivery. Shimron Hetmyer stood amazed at his own power afte­r witnessing the gigantic six sail over the­ boundary line.

For people­ who did not know, T. Natarajan threw a slow ball at the perfe­ct spot. Shimron Hetmyer moved down the­ pitch to hit it over the second le­vel towards the long-on boundary. The ball was in the­ air for a few moments as Shimron Hetmyer was amazed at his own big hit.

Shimron Hetmyer, though, did not play a big part in the game. He le­ft after just 13 runs off 9 balls. The left-hand batte­r was caught by Marco Jansen at long-on while trying to hit a big shot in that same ove­r.

SRH beat RR by 1 run in IPL 2024 thriller

A polished all-round performance helped SRH defeat RR by one run in a last-over thriller in the IPL on Thursday.

The Royals managed to score 200/7 while chasing 202. The visitors got off to a bad start as Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson left for ducks.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag hit the ball ve­ry well. They put togethe­r a big score of 134 runs for the third wicket. Parag hit 77 runs off 49 balls. He­ smashed four sixes and eight boundarie­s. Jaiswal scored 67 runs off 40 balls with two sixes and seve­n boundaries. Powell also played we­ll, scoring 27 runs off 15 balls. But he could not take his team to win.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar shined with the ball, returning numbers of 3/41, including the valuable scalps of Buttler, Samson, and Powell. Captain Pat Cummins and T Natarajan each took two wickets.

Batting first, SRH scored 201/3 in 20 overs. Abhishek Sharma and Anmolpreet Singh left early, but Travis Head stood tall. The left-hander took full advantage of being dropped by Parag on zero, scoring 58 off 44, including three maximums and six boundaries.

Nitish Reddy and Heinrich Klassen remained undefeated as the squad surpassed the 200-run mark. Reddy scored 76 off 42, hitting eight sixes and three boundaries. He picked all the bowlers apart and hit 20 runs off a Yuzvendra Chahal over.

Meanwhile, Klaasen hit a quickfire 42 off 19, including three sixes and as many boundaries. Avesh Khan took two wickets for RR, while Sandeep Sharma claimed one.
