MS Dhoni received the Electric Striker of the Match award in yesterday’s IPL 2024 match between the Chennai Super Kings and the Delhi Capitals. The CSK wicketkeeper-batsman scored 37 runs off only 16 balls in his opening innings of the season.
Despite Dhoni’s best efforts, the Chennai Super Kings succumbed to the Delhi Capitals by 20 runs. At the presentation event, DC players won the most of the accolades, however MS Dhoni received the Electric Striker award.
Dhoni’s wife Sakshi said on her Instagram account on her husband’s amazing batting performance:

Dhoni appeared in the Chennai Super Kings’ first two matches of the season, but the club did not require his batting talents. Last night in Vizag, CSK’s top order struggled to get going, prompting the former captain to step in.
