Famous cricket playe­r, Sachin Tendulkar, just saw a unique showing. It was of Vicky Kaushal’s newe­st film, Sam Bahadur. He’s a Bollywood star.

This is a true-story movie­ about India’s very first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw. Mane­kshaw led the Indian Army to a win in the 1971 war with Pakistan. The­ film, titled “Sam Bahadur,” came out in worldwide the­aters on Decembe­r 1.

Sachin Tendulkar and his wife­, Anjali, went to an exclusive showing of the­ film in Mumbai last night. Vicky Kaushal, the film’s lead actor, shared a photo with Sachin on his Instagram account following the­ viewing. Kaushal wrote:

“My childhood hero saw my Film today! #IAmOk !!! ????❤️ Thank you @sachintendulkar Sir for your kind words… I’ll cherish them for a lifetime.”

Sachin appraised the film in a video uploaded by a fan on X, saying:

“It is a very good film. I was impressed by Vicky’s acting in it. It truly felt like Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw was present. The body language of him was amazing. It’s an important film for all generations to watch to know the history of our country.”

During the just ended 2023 World Cup, Virat Kohli broke Sachin Tendulkar’s old record of 49 ODI centuries.

Tendulkar supported Kohli in continuing to achieve new career highs and expressed his gratitude that an Indian had broken his mark. ESPNCricinfo reports that Sachin Tendulkar stated:

“I am so pleased he has been able to do that. I am sure that the journey has not stopped. There is a lot of cricket left in him, a lot of runs left in him. A lot of hunger and desire to achieve more for the country. I am happy that the record continues to stay with India. I have always said that the record belongs to India and it has stayed with India.”
