Sachin Tendulkar, the legend Indian cricketer, recently expressed his thoughts on whether Ravichandran Ashwin should be included in the 2023 World Cup squad for the Men in Blue. This decision raised some eyebrows and sparked a debate among cricket enthusiasts.
However, Tendulkar had the opportunity to play with Ashwin during the 2011 World Cup and he strongly believes that Ashwin is a player who always gives his best for the team. Tendulakar also acknowledges Ashwin’s skill in not only taking wickets but also making valuable contributions with the bat lower down the order.

Here’s what Sachin Tendulkar had to say about Ravichandran Ashwin in a video on his YouTube channel:
“Ashwin is an experienced campaigner and someone who will fight till the last delivery. I know it. He would never be out of the game. His attitude, his approach towards a game is magnificent. I have always liked Ashwin as a bowler and a handy batsman (smiles).”

The one player Sachin Tendulkar would choose from 2011 World Cup squad

All-rounder Yuvraj Singh, according to Sachin Tendulkar, would have been the player he would have chosen to add from India’s World Cup-winning squad in 2011. Tendulkar believes that consistency is what would fit Yuvraj in the present group. Yuvraj earned the Player of the Tournament title.
In response, he stated:
“All XI were good players, but the criteria has to be someone who has done well throughout the tournament. And that’s the Man of the Tournament, Mr. Yuvraj Singh (smiles).”
