Several supporters packed the M Chinnaswamy Stadium when the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team bus arrived for the RCB Unbox Event. The event will include a full squad practice session as well as performances by internationally famous performers.
While Royal Challengers Bangalore has began practicing for the highly anticipated 17th season of the Indian Premier League, members of the team and support staff will be present on Tuesday, March 19, for the occasion.
Last year, AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle were inducted into the RCB Hall of Fame during the Unbox event. As the franchise prepares for the next round, supporters rushed to the stadium to cheer on the players who arrived via team bus.
Notably, Smriti Mandhana’s Royal Challengers Bangalore, which just won the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024, will be there. While the complete men’s squad will be practicing, fans can expect performances from Alan Walker, Raghu Dixit, Neeti Mohan, Brotha V, and JordIndian, among others.
RCB to face CSK in IPL 2024 curtain raiser
Following the Royal Challengers Bangalore Unbox event, the squad will head to Chennai for the first game of the IPL 2024, as the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) prepare to face RCB at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Friday, March 22.
Over the years, CSK and RCB’s clashes have been exciting. Out of 31 matches between them, CSK won 20 times. Royal Challengers Bangalore has emerged victorious in just 10 games. The two teams have put up some thrilling contests whenever they’ve faced each other.
CSK has won seven of the last eight home matches against RCB at Chepauk. They also enjoy a slight advantage against RCB in games held at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, with a 5-4 win-loss record.
The upcoming IPL edition brings MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli back to action – legendary players. Dhoni will likely captain CSK for his final time. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli makes his competitive cricket return since January 17, 2024, after a long absence.
