Uncertainty surrounds Rohit Sharma’s T20I career
Rohit Sharma hasn’t played for India in a T20I since their 2022 T20 World Cup quarterfinal loss to England in Adelaide last year. Over the last year, the selectors have had Hardik Pandya as captain and have sought to introduce new faces into the T20 team.
However, Rohit is still officially Team India’s all-format captain, and it would be intriguing to watch whether he makes a T20I comeback. While there have been multiple claims that he is leaving the shortest format, neither the board nor the player have announced anything definitive.
With Hardik supposedly out injured till the IPL 2024, it would be intriguing to watch how India moves on from here.
