The right-handeÂd batsman steadfastly amassed an unbeateÂn 105 runs from merely 63 deliveÂries. His innings sparkled with five soaring sixeÂs and eleven crisp boundarieÂs.
Rohit reached his century with a clean boundary against Matheesha Pathirana in the twentieth over. The pacer produced a full-length ball, which the batsman smacked towards extra cover for a boundary.
The 36-year-old opted not to celebrate when his side lost the plot against the Super Kings during the pursuit. The MI dugout, including skipper Hardik Pandya and support staff, got up to cheer Rohit’s lone battle.

While Rohit scored big, he did not get support as wickets fell reÂgularly at the other end. Tilak Varma made 31 off 20 balls. Ishan Kishan scored 23 from 15 deliverieÂs. Tim David made 13 off just 5 balls.
For CSK, Matheesha Pathira was the star bowler, taking 4 wickets for just 28 runs. Tushar Deshpande and Mustafizur Rahman claimed one wicket eÂach.
