Rohit Sharma has establisheÂd himself as a cornerstone of Indias rosteÂr in the ongoing World Cup. Post a rather lackluster IPL 2024 stint with the Mumbai Indians (MI) he initiated his T20 World Cup voyage with a steÂllar unbeaten halfcentury.
Chasing a modest score of 97 against the Irish, the Men in Blue were knocked out early after losing Virat Kohli cheaply. However, Rohit steadied the ship with a vital performance of 52 runs off 37 balls before retiring injured. The right-handed hitter hit four boundaries and three sixes over his innings.
However, Rohit failed to make an impact against Pakistan, being bowled for 13 runs off 12 deliveries.
