Indian cricket teams captain Rohit Sharma was recently seen enjoying an outing in New York before the teams 2024 T20 World Cup curtainraiser. The Men in Blue are all set to commence their campaign against Ireland on Wednesday June 5.
Rohit Sharma was spotted touring New York, sometimes known as the Big Apple, before to the tournament. The star batter took to Instagram to show a few photos of himself at a diner.
Virat Kohli’s absence from Indias warmup contest against Bangladesh saw Sanju Samson stepping up to partner with Rohit Sharma at the top of the order with Rishabh Pant holding the key No. 3 spot.
In his postmatch presentation speech Rohit emphasized the team managements choice to trial Pant at the No. 3 spot to grant him an opportunity.

Virat Kohli was noticeably absent from Indias warmup fixture against Bangladesh. Interestingly during his hiatus Sanju Samson took on the opening role alongside the seasoned Rohit Sharma while the charismatic Rishabh Pant confidently strode out at No. 3.
During the post-match conference, Rohit revealed that the team management tested out Pant at No. 3 to give him an opportunity.
He suggested that the batting lineup had not yet been determined, stating:
