Rohit Sharma was seen urging supporters to stop booing during the IPL 2024 match between the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Monday (April 1). It was MI’s first home game this season at Wankhede Stadium.
The home team fans were not happy. TheÂy yelled and shouted to show angeÂr. The team managemeÂnt had removed Rohit Sharma. They had made Hardik Pandya the new captain. From very eÂarly, during the coin toss, the crowd at the stadium booeÂd Hardik.
The audience did the same thing in the second innings, when Rohit Sharma was fielding close the boundary. The former MI captain then asked them to cease booing with hand signals. A few X users provided a glimpse of it by posting videos on the social media network.
