On Tuesday, December 19, Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Rishabh Pant is in Dubai for the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) mini-auction. The wicketkeeper-batter is anticipated to return to competitive cricket with the IPL 2024 after missing the IPL 2023 due to a horrible vehicle accident in December.

Pant made a beautiful entrance for the mini-auction at the Coca-Cola Arena. His arrival pleased supporters who had been hoping for him to return to action.

The Delhi-based brand shared the footage of Pant’s admission on their official Instagram handle:

Delhi entered the IPL 2024 auction with a purse of 28.95 crore. They began the procedures by paying 4 crore for England’s explosive batsman Harry Brook.

Rishabh Pant expressed his enthusiasm at the prospect of sitting at the auction table for the Delhi Capitals. He remarked that participating in the event was his childhood desire.

Here’s what Pant stated in an IPL interview prior to the IPL 2024 auction:

“You know, as a kid, I used to think one day I might be able to sit on the (auction) table. I never thought that I will make it happen but somehow things are in place and I’m able to do it, and lucky to be able to do it. I think it will be an amazing experience because this is something new.”

Given that it was his first time at the auction table, the 26-year-old acknowledged to being a little scared.

“Nervousness is definitely one point I’ve to work on because whenever you do something exciting or new, the nervousness is always there,” Pant continued. “Yes, this is my first time but I want to grow as an individual and learn whatever I can from it. It’s really exciting because I don’t know many people have done it or not, but I would love to be part of it – something exciting, something new.”

In Rishabh Pant’s absence, David Warner captained DC in the IPL 2023. They had a dismal season, ending ninth in the standings with only five victories from 14 games.
