Rishabh Pant, a Team India cricketer, has started wicketkeeping ahead of the 2017 Indian Premier League (IPL). It will be a tremendous boost for his franchise, the Delhi Capitals.
Rishabh Pant has been out of action after a tragic tragedy in December 2022. The kid started getting better a few days after staying in the hospital. He’s been telling people who care about him how he’s doing regularly.
In a recent social media video, Rishabh Pant was seen performing wicketkeeping drills at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. He seemed free of discomfort, totally relaxed. The left-handed hitter was also seen practicing throwdowns and appeared to be at ease throughout the practice.
Rishabh Pant all set for IPL 2024 returns – Reports
According to a recent story on Cricbuzz, Rishabh Pant is likely to make his long-awaited return to competitive cricket during the IPL 2024. The 26-year-old, it seems, will stick to hitting only. Another player will handle the wicketkeeping.
He is also anticipated to captain the team in the future season. During Pant’s absence, senior Australian batsman David Warner assumed leadership of the IPL 2023, with all-rounder Axar Patel serving as his deputy.
According to the source, Pant recently played a full-time match in Alur and appeared to be in top form while batting. He’s returning and the Delhi Capitals will benefit a lot. They were almost at the bottom last year. They won only five of fourteen games and ended with ten points.
The IPL 2024 will be a litmus test for Pant ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup in the United States and the West Indies. The Indian team management would want Pant in the lineup as they try to end a decade-long drought in ICC competitions.
