Rishabh Pant, the captain of the Delhi Capitals (DC), lost his cool in front of the on-field umpire during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 game against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Ekana Cricket Stadium on Friday, April 12. The response happened when he accidentally took a DRS review.
For those unfamiliar, the event occurred in the third over of the LSG innings. Ishant Sharma delivered a wide delivery down the leg side, which Rishabh Pant wrongly reviewed.
Rishabh Pant was the Delhi Capitals’ captain for the cricket match. In the second wide ball, he walked to umpire Rohan Pandit and argued briefly. At 26 years old, Rishabh Pant thought he did not want to review the decision. But replays showed he had reviewed it. Pant said he was checking with a fielder.
