The Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Rishabh Pant couldn’t make an impact in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match versus Mumbai Indians (MI) at Wankhede Stadium, April 7th. The left-hander strode in when DC required a mammoth 91 from the last 30 deliveries. However, he departed for just a solitary run off three balls faced. At 26 years old, Rishabh Pant seemed restless – when his side desperately needed over 18 runs per over.
The dismissal occurred in the sixteenth over of DC’s run chase. Rishabh Pant yorked himself off Gerald Coetzee’s delivery while attempting to build a shot. The southpaw was in an uncomfortable position for a scoop shot, and he ended up slicing it sky-high to Hardik Pandya for additional cover.

Interestingly, Rishabh Pant walked at No. 5, while DC elevated Abishek Porel to third place. The left-hander looked well with 41 off 31 balls but failed to score at the needed rate as his team fell behind in the chase.
