On Wednesday (April 17), Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Rishabh Pant delivered two quick stumpings to eliminate Gujarat Titans (GT) batsmen Abhinav Manohar and Shahrukh Khan in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. After 8.4 overs, the visitors departed Delhi with a score of 48/6.
Pant’s stumpings occurred in the ninth over of GT’s innings. Tristan Stubbs bowled a slider that passed Manohar by the outer edge. Rishabh Pant was quick to dislodge the zing bails, and Manohar was caught in the crease as the stumps were ignited, dragging his feet back.
In the same over, Stubbs delivered a wide delivery down the leg side, which touched Pant’s gloves before striking the stumps. Shahrukh, attempting to play a sweep stroke, was stopped short of the crease.

Wicketkeeping isn’t Rishabh Pant’s sole contribution. His incredible one-handed catch dismissed David Miller cheaply. As a left-handed batter, Pant’s been exceptional too. In six innings, he’s scored 194 runs at 157.72 strike rate. That includes half-centuries versus Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.
