Rinku Singh, the star batter for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), recently spent valuable time with young fans at a practice session in preparation for the forthcoming Indian Premier League.
Rinku Singh was seen signing autographs for children and posing for photographs with fans following his practice session, according to a video uploaded on social media by KKR. The Knight Riders captioned their post:
Rinku Singh was Kolkata’s highest run scorer last season. The left-handed batsman scored 474 runs in 14 games at a strike rate of 149.53, including four half centuries.
The 26-year-old hit five consecutive sixes off Yash Dayal to end a game against the Gujarat Titans. That happened when the Knight Riders needed 28 from the final five balls. He proceeded to finish games, gaining a reputation as a finisher for the brand.
Rinku Singh’s superb play led him get his first call up for India in T20Is, when he recreated his IPL exploits. In international cricket, he has scored 356 runs in 11 innings at a strike rate of 176.24, including two half-centuries.
KKR to begin their IPL 2024 campaign against SRH
On March 23, the Kolkata Knight Riders will face Sunrisers Hyderabad at Eden Gardens in Kolkata to open their IPL 2024 campaign.
KKR finished sixth in the points table last season. They won only six of 14 games under Nitish Rana, who took over for the injured Shreyas Iyer. However, the latter has returned to oversee the Kolkata-based team this year. With the bat, he will also help the middle order.
