Revised IPL 2025 Match Schedule: The Indian Premier League 2025 is set to resume on Saturday, May 17, after tensions between India and Pakistan eased. The tournament was paused on May 9 due to rising tensions between the two countries. With the situation improving, the BCCI has decided to restart the IPL.
There are 17 matches left, including the remaining league games, playoffs, and the final. The final will be held on June 3. Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator are scheduled for May 29 and 30, respectively, with Qualifier 2 on June 1. The winners of Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2 will face off in the grand final.
Matches will be played once a day, except Sundays, when there will be two matches (doubleheaders), just like before.
Updated IPL 2025 Venues The BCCI has chosen six venues across India for the remaining matches: – Bengaluru – Jaipur – Delhi – Lucknow – Ahmedabad – Mumbai

There were talks about finishing the season only in South Indian cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru, but the BCCI chose other venues as well. Matches will now take place in Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad, along with Bengaluru.
Because of this, some teams like Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Punjab Kings won’t play their last home matches at their usual grounds. For example: – CSK vs RR on May 20 will be played in Delhi. – SRH vs KKR on May 25 will also be in Delhi.
Both CSK and SRH are already out of the playoffs, so these matches are just to complete their schedule.
The match between PBKS and DC, which was abandoned on May 8, will be replayed in Jaipur on May 24. Punjab Kings will play all their remaining matches in Jaipur since Mullanpur was not chosen as a venue for the restart.
Mumbai Indians, still in the playoff hunt, will host their final home game against Delhi Capitals at Wankhede on May 21.
The cancellation of the Dharamsala match due to security concerns was a turning point, leading to the tournament’s pause. Many foreign players have returned home, and it’s unclear how many will come back. International commitments, especially the World Test Championship Final starting June 11, just a week after the IPL ends, may affect player availability.
