The Veteran West Indies Cricketer, Chris Gayle, has apparently lashed out on his current and former IPL Franchises Royal Challengers Bangalore & Punjab Kings. The star player has to say that players, at RCB, do not feel a part of the franchise. He further added that RCB and PBKS need to learn how to function with Loyalty and Trust during a tournament.
Such statements of Chris Gayle have evoked much speculation about the treatment of players in their franchises. Gayle has been one of the most valuable players of RCB along with Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, thus, such a controversial statement against the franchise has raised a lot of questions about the value of the players apart from the money. Also, PBKS was the team who came forward to save his game and legacy when no other team was willing to pick him in 2018. Therefore, we are stunned to see Chris Gayle making such statements for the only franchises he had ever played for and the franchises that gave him the stardom and star player status that he enjoys relentlessly.
Furthermore, Gayle has also added that RCB will always be his team in the IPL. He has played for the franchise from 2011 to 2017, but unfortunately, the team has never lifted an IPL Trophy.
The veteran batter, also known as the “Gayle Storm” was seen making such acclamations during a show on Indian Premier League, 2023 on Jio Cinema. He was accompanied by Anil Kumble, Suresh Raina, Robin Uthaapa, Parthiv Patel, and Scott Styris.
