Punjab Kings, formerly known as Kings XI Punjab, have been part of the original eight Indian Premiere League teams since its inception. Despite excellent home support, they are one of three teams yet to win an IPL trophy, alongside the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals. #1 KL Rahul

KL Rahul is a consistent run-scorer in the IPL and has earned himself the title of LSG captain. He has scored 2548 runs from 55 innings averaging 56.62 with a strike rate of 139.76, boasting two centuries and 23 half-centuries to his name. He also was the top-run accumulator for this period. Rahul had a remarkable season in 2018, accumulating 659 runs from 14 innings with an average of 54.92 and a strike rate of 158.41. His performance during this season is widely revered and remains one of the most significant accomplishments by an Indian batter in the competition’s history.

#2 Chris Gayle

One of the greatest T20 batters of all time, Chris Gayle, was signed by the Punjab Kings in 2018. Despite his brilliant performance during the 2018 and 2019 seasons, the team management benched the superstar for the first half of 2020. However, he still managed to put up a respectable 288 runs in 7 innings at an impressive strike rate of 138.

Shaun Marsh, the Australian left-hander, has called time on his cricket career across all formats. A massive hit for the franchise in its early years, Marsh has left an enormous mark on the game with his 2477 runs in 69 innings at an average of 39.95 and an impressive strike rate of 132.74.

#4 David Miller

Miller was a superb player for PBKS, amassing 1974 runs in 82 innings with a batting average of 35.25 and a strike rate of 139.40. His form in the 2013 season was nothing short of impressive as he piled up 418 runs in 12 innings at an average of 59.71 and a strike rate of 164.57, one of the best performances by a middle-order hitter for PBKS.

#5 Mayank Agarwal

Mayank Agarwal, an opening batter, has earned his spot among the top five batters in the franchise’s history. The Karnataka player has scored 1513 runs from 59 innings with an average of 26.54 and a strike rate of 141. Agarwal was a vital member of the powerplay and middle overs, making a high-impact contribution.
