Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) player Ramandeep Singh caught a superb high catch when Mitchell Starc was bowling his first over against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). It happened at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
The Knight Riders were trying to score a very big target set by LSG. In the first over, Arshin Kulkarni hit two boundaries. But then he got out.
The dismissal came in the second over of the innings, when KL Rahul and Kulkarni hit one boundary apiece off the left-arm fast. Kulkarni attempted to flick to the leg side but only got a leading edge, sending the ball soaring to covers. Ramandeep moved quickly and caught the ball with both hands.

Mitchell Starc returned to form in the game against the Mumbai Indians
Mitchell Starc, the most expensive player in IPL, felt stressed before the match against Mumbai Indians. This Australian bowler is 34 years old. In the game at Wankhede Stadium, Mitchell Starc performed very well. He dismissed four batters – Ishan Kishan, Tim David, Gerald Coetzee, and Piyush Chawla. Starc gave away just 33 runs in his four overs.
The Knight Riders team needed to defend a total of 170 runs on a wet Wankhede pitch. Mitchell Starc’s excellent bowling helped his team beat Mumbai by 24 runs. The Knight Riders have won the IPL trophy twice before.
The Knight Riders also defeated the Lucknow Super Giants by 98 runs at the Ekana International Stadium, with Harshit Rana and Varun Chakravarthy taking three wickets apiece. Andre Russell took two wickets, while Mitchell Starc and Narine both claimed one.
With the win, Shreyas Iyer’s team has risen to the top of the IPL 2024 points table, surpassing the Rajasthan Royals.
