With a fight going on between India and Pakistan over the venue of Asia Cup 2023, PSL team Lahore Qalandars tried to target India on Twitter. It started when they posted a photo of their player Mohammed Hussain Talat, where he is seen having tea captioned as, “Ye tu ‘Tea is Fantastic’ hogya”.
They tried to mock India regarding the incident in 2019 involving wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman who was flying MiG-21 Bison and shot down a Pakistani F-16. Still, later, he was also got shot by a Pakistani aircraft. After ejecting, he fell on the other side of the Line of Control. The Pakistani authorities arrested Abhinandan Varthaman though they released the Indian officer soon, citing that they wanted to promote peace. But as per some reports, Pakistani authorities had received stern warnings from the Indian Government to face dire consequences if they did not return Abhinandan soon or if anything happened to him.
After Abhinandan’s release, Pakistani authorities released a video where Abhinandan was seen thanking them for serving him tea and saying, ‘tea is fantastic’. Indian cricket fans didn’t take this tweet lightly and gave mouth-shuttering replies to the PSL Team’s tweet.
