SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) skipper Pat Cummins handed his team the lead in the current Qualifier 2 against the Rajasthan Royals at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. The right-arm speedster dismissed Tom Kohler-Cadmore, giving SRH a huge lift despite defending a tough total of 175 runs.
The dismissal occurred in the fourth over of the innings, when Pat Cummins entered for his second over. The first three deliveries yielded only one run before Kohler-Cadmore hit a boundary. The following delivery went for a dot, and the 31-year-old Australian spinner forced the England batsman to cover. Rahul Tripathi collected a straightforward catch, forcing Kohler-Cadmore to walk back for 10 off 16 deliveries.

Heinrich Klaasen’s Half-Century Powers SRH to 175 in Bid for Final Spot
Sanju Samson asked the SunRisers to bat first after winning the toss. Trent Boult dismissed Abhishek Sharma in the opening over, but Rahul Tripathi counterattacked, leaving the Royals on the back foot. However, Boult returned and dismissed both him and Aiden Markram in the same over.
With the Orange Army on the back foot, Heinrich Klaasen formed effective alliances with Travis Head, Nitish Reddy, and Shahbaz Ahmed. Sandeep Sharma dismissed Klaasen with a stunning yorker in the 19th over, ending the SRH’s chances of reaching 180-190. Trent Boult and Avesh Khan both claimed three wickets, while Sandeep Sharma picked up two.
The SunRisers endured a comprehensive loss to the Kolkata Knight Riders in Qualifier 1 enabling the latter to advance to the final. Concurrently the Royals secured their position in Qualifier 2 by securing a hardfought fourwicket victory over the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Ahmedabad.
