MS Dhoni, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), was recently photographed wearing a new appearance ahead of this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
MS Dhoni reverted to wearing long hair, like he had in his early days of international cricket. Celebrity hairdresser Aalim Hakim published a few photos on social media to offer fans a taste of the CSK captain’s new style.
Fans would hope that, like his new hairstyle, MS Dhoni returns to his primal days with the bat in the IPL 2024. He has looked in excellent form with the bat, striking massive sixes and unleashing his signature helicopter shot during training.
The former India captain had a disappointing year last year, scoring only 104 runs in 16 games. During the title-winning IPL 2023 season, he suffered a knee ailment and was even relegated down the batting order.
Irfan Pathan Confident in MS Dhoni’s Knee Recovery
MS Dhoni got knee surgery in Mumbai shortly after the IPL 2023. He has exhibited no symptoms of pain in training thus far and looks to be in peak condition.
Once a star Indian cricketer, Irfan Pathan declared Dhoni injury-free. The CSK captain can dazzle fans with his vintage brilliance, Pathan claimed. Yet, he firmly stated promoting the veteran wicketkeeper-batter up the order would be unwise, despite Dhoni’s apparent fitness.
Irfan Pathan added:
Chennai Super Kings, led by MS Dhoni, will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Friday, March 22, at MA Chidambaram Stadium in the IPL 2024 season opener.
