During the IPL 2023 match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Jaipur on April 27, the captain of CSK, MS Dhoni, got visibly agitated twice. In the 16th over, he attempted a quick direct hit at the non-striker’s end but the bowler, Matheesha Pathirana, mistakenly stopped the ball mid-pitch, allowing the batter to reach the crease easily. Dhoni expressed his frustration to the young pacer, indicating that he should have left the ball alone. Similarly, on the final ball of the innings, Shivam Dube’s wayward throw gave the batters the opportunity to complete three runs, and Dhoni expressed his disappointment at Dube’s poor throw with an angry stare.
