Mohammed Shami, Team India’s bowler, recently updated his followers on Instagram after having surgery. The ace pacer has been out of action since the 2023 World Cup ended in November, missing the series against South Africa and England.
Mohammed Shami was key in India’s dominance throughout the World Cup’s league phase, finishing as the tournament’s highest wicket-taker. It was then revealed that he used injections to get through the World Cup despite struggling with a heel injury.
Shami underwent a successful heel operation on his Achilles tendon. In an Instagram post, the pacer shared photos from the hospital. He stated recovery will take time. Shami wrote:
