Mitchell Marsh has advised young Indian batters not to take their eyes off the ball when facing top-level international bowling. He emphasized that they should pay attention to the ball and respond accordingly.
Unfortunately, DC’s young batters have not fared well in IPL 2023. Prithvi Shaw has managed to score the highest 15 runs in his five matches while being dismissed without scoring twice. Similarly, Sarfaraz Khan, who has been very successful in domestic cricket, has struggled against genuine quick bowlers.
The Delhi Capitals have yet to secure any points in their five games, leaving the team with much pressure headed into the match against the Kolkata Knight Riders. Ahead of the Thursday, April 20th clash, Marsh was asked what advice he would give the struggling young Indian batters, to which he replied:
