Mumbai Indians fast bowler Jofra Archer aims to make a comeback within the next week after sitting out their last four games due to discomfort in his right elbow. According to reports, he may have the chance to play in Saturday’s match against the Punjab Kings.
Archer debuted for Mumbai Indians in their season opener against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in Bangalore and appeared to be in good form. Despite MI being beaten badly by RCB, he finished with figures of 0/33 in his four overs.
The franchise signed Jofra Archer for eight crore rupees in the 2022 mega auction, but he missed last season due to an elbow and back stress fracture. He eventually returned to action for England in the ODI series against South Africa and played for MI Cape Town in the SA T20 league that followed.
Archer has also been outstanding in his three previous IPL seasons with the Rajasthan Royals (RR), taking 46 wickets at an impressive average of 21 and an economy rate of 7.10.”
