RCBs pacer Lockie Ferguson showcased his mastery by outfoxing RRs opener Tom KohlerCadmore during the IPL 2024 Eliminator on May 22. KohlerCadmore departed after scoring 20 runs off 15 balls following a promising start.
Lockie Ferguson has demonstrated his ability to pick up wickets with change-ups throughout the IPL, and that surprise factor once again came to Bengaluru’s rescue as the pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Kohler-Cadmore blossomed.
Lockie Ferguson got a terrific dip on his slower yorker, and Tom Kohler-Cadmore was beaten at both ends because he was sluggish to react. Lockie Ferguson was revved up, but England’s opener had to walk away disappointed.
Here’s the Lockie Ferguson Slower Yorker video:
Glenn Maxwell lost an absolute sitter at square leg in the over before Ferguson bowled, giving Kohler-Cadmore a chance. The Australian all-rounder seems happy that the drop did not cost his team much.
RCB battle against RR batters and dew factor
One of the key reasons why the total of 172/8 does not appear to be a difficult one for the Royals to pursue is the quantity of dew that has already been seen. The RCB fielders have also found it difficult, as the dampness has caused some misfields.
While they have Kohler-Cadmore’s wicket, RCB will be aware that RR bats deep, with the explosive Rovman Powell and Shimron Hetmyer in their lineup. They’ll need to figure out how to keep chipping away with wickets at regular intervals, as the dew effect is only going to become worse.
RR, on the other hand, has another partnership developing, this time between Yashasvi Jaiswal and captain Sanju Samson. They are comfortably situated at 80/1 after nine overs and will need the present partnership to knock Bengaluru out of the game.
