Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper KL Rahul’s wife Athiya Shetty will attend the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Sunday (March 24) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Athiya has accompanied Rahul to several IPL and international matches in recent years. The pair dated for several years before getting married in January 2023.
KL Rahul enjoyed memorable moments with loved ones. He recovered at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. This followed his quadriceps injury, preventing participation in four England Tests. A major setback halted the wicketkeeper-batter’s plans.
The previous year, Rahul battled a hamstring injury midseason. This sidelined him from the T20 tournament. Krunal Pandya captained LSG while Rahul healed. Under Pandya’s leadership, the team advanced to knockouts. Rahul’s absence impacted LSG’s campaign.
Rahul has been exceptional with the bat in the IPL, accumulating 4163 runs in 118 innings, including four hundreds and 33 half-centuries, at a strike rate of 134.42. Last year, the 31-year-old scored 274 runs in nine games, including two half centuries. From 2018 to 2022, he scored over 550 runs in five consecutive seasons.

The wicketkeeper dove to his right to finish Jos Buttler’s catch off Naveen-ul-Haq’s bowling, helping Lucknow make their first breakthrough. Buttler scored just 11 runs off nine balls.
