KL Rahul hit an amazing shot. It was a helicopter shot. This happened in LSG’s IPL match against MI. The match was on April 30 at Ekana Stadium.
The amazing helicopter shot came on the last ball of the over. Nuwan Thushara was bowling the fifth over. Before the helicopter shot, Rahul had already hit a four, a six, and another four on the first, fourth, and fifth balls of that over.

KL Rahul proceeded in the same style, firing a helicopter shot against a full-length ball over mid-on for a one-bounce four. It was a costly over since it resulted in 20 runs for the home team, which helped the innings gain pace after a slow start.
Watch the shot in the video below:
KL Rahul-led LSG beat MI by 4 wickets in 48th IPL 2024 match in Lucknow

After being asked to bat first, MI did not score many runs. They could only score 144 runs out of 7 wickets in 20 overs. This was because they did not bat well. Nehal Wadhera scored 46 runs, which was the most. Ishan Kishan scored 32 runs. Tim David scored 35 runs but he did not get out. These three players scored the most runs for MI.
Marcus Stoinis (62) then struck a fantastic half-century to help LSG reach the mark. KL Rahul (28) and Nicholas Pooran (14*) assisted him as Lucknow scored 145/6 in 19.2 overs to win the match and move up to third place in the points rankings. At the post-match presentation, KL Rahul reminisced on the victory, saying:
“The wicket was dry but if they had scored 160-170, it would have been competitive. But we bowled really well. Our bowlers kept picking regular wickets and made the job easier for the batters. I am happy when you get those two points. We need to get some things right.”

Rahul continued:
“If we can fix those things, it will be great. I haven’t spoken with him (Mayank Yadav). After picking the wicket, he held the same area. Not a side strain but he said ‘thoda dukh raha hai’. So I said go out and rest because we don’t want to take the risk. In this game, he showed that he has more skills than only bowling 150+. The more he plays, he will learn to bowl in different situations.”
