Kane Williamson’s career with the Gujarat Titans (GT) began disastrously when he sustained a significant knee injury while attempting to save a boundary in the deep in IPL 2023’s opening game against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
Williamson’s injury cut short his involvemeÂnt last season. However, heÂ’s recovered and eÂager to play a pivotal role for GT in IPL 2024. Jokingly, he said heÂ’d request the neÂwly appointed captain Shubman Gill to avoid fielding him at that spot.
